Welcome

Food For People's Pets is a program of The Hermitage Cat Shelter in Tucson, Arizona, a 501(c)(3) organization. The goal of the Food for People's Pets (FPP) program is to eliminate one of the leading causes of pet surrendering: Lack of financial means to feed them. It relies solely on donations from the public. While the shelter itself is one for cats, the FPP program collects and distributes both cat and dog food.

Food For People's Pets collaborates with local human service agencies and animal welfare organizations to identify and meet the needs of Tucson's hungry pets. You can see the Mission and Vision statements of The Hermitage Cat Shelter, as well as some of the people responsible for its success HERE.

This blog will be used to share information and resources available to address pet hunger in Tucson and the world. It will also feature the people and organizations that make The Hermitage Cat Shelter and the Food For People's Pets Program the premier pet food assistance program in Tucson.
